ANHosting network outage - Excuse #4

Today is the 4th time I have had problems to reach my web site hosted at ANHosting.com, since I signed up more than 30 days ago. My shared hosting server now has been down three times within 8 short days. Now the 4th time with "Network outage" excuse. The first time is "Cooling system failure cause over heating", second time "Power Outage" and third time "Hardwre failure causing over heating".

On their status blog, it says "Network Outage".

I don't really know what is going to be their next excuses. Since I switch over from HostingZoom.com, the worst shared hosting company I have even hosted my site, I am very cautious about my hosting provider's quality. And since I post many hosting related blot entries, this blog is on the first page of Google search engine result, if you search key phrase like the following.

ANHosting sucks, ANHosting server down, ANHosting network outage, ANHosting issues.

For just few few weeks, this blog is the most request blog about ANHosting issues. I am not trying to be bad mouth about ANhosting, but I did successfully make some buzz. ANHosting does listen what said here. I can see some traffic from their domain. I subscribe their RSS feed so I cam keep watching what their status is. How many hosting companies have such a status blog for their customer to see?

As I post earlier, every hosting company will have down time. If you are hosting on the shared hosting server, you have expect the downtime even they claim 99.9% up time. I have had really bad experience with HostingZoom.com. Now I have switch to ANHosting and felt much happier. All my site running on ANHosting.com are not critical. All my client's web sites are either on MediaTemple.net GS server or RackSpace.com's managed servers. I trust those companies.

Do you recommend ANHosting.com after all this troubles?

Yes. ANhosting.com is so far the best one I have ever hosted with. I mean the "Shared Hosting." I might have been lucky, that my shared server is running fast. Just compare with the following shared hosting companies I know so well, I have no regrets to move my account with ANHosting.

If you are interested in ANHosting shared server, you should still do some research and give them many calls in the morning, at noon, at night or over weekend. Chat online and see if their customer services satisfied you.
